Job Description:
Formulate and implement operational policies goals, objectives and programs related to the Division of Microbiology. Oversee a large staff of professional microbiologists working in areas of clinical and environmental microbiology, including: micro bacteriology, parasitology, enteric and general bacteriology, molecular STD, and special agents that may be related to bioterrorism. Work in a dynamic management team environment to develop and implement new protocols related to testing and quality assurance. Ensure compliance with all regulatory agencies' laws, codes and requirements; and recommendations and guidelines of professional accrediting organizations. Advise senior management within the Agency and health care professionals on matters related to microbiology. Requirements The ideal candidate will have: A Ph.D. in a relevant area of concentration. Solid clinical and managerial experience in the field of microbiology. Excellent communication (written & oral), interpersonal and leadership skills.
