Director-Architect, Facility Planning and Design Locations: Cincinnati, OH; Dayton, OH or Fairview Heights, IL; Portsmouth, VA Founded in 1911, and consistently ranked as a top national design firm by Engineering News-Record, Woolpert, Inc., is an 800 person multi-disciplinary consulting firm seeking a Senior-level Director to manage and lead its 50 person architectural and facility planning/design practice. Woolpert\'s facility planning/design practice includes three architectural practice groups and three engineering practice groups (MEP and Structural) located in Charlotte, North Carolina; Cincinnati, Ohio; Dayton, Ohio; St. Louis, Missouri; and Fairview Heights, Illinois, which are currently being managed locally by Group Managers (GMs) in those locations. These GMs would be direct reports to the Service Line Director. Interested candidates must possess at least 20 years of experience in the architectural or closely-related design fields, with at least 7 years of direct profit and loss responsibility, and 5 years in a business management role. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker who is NCARB certified and a licensed architect in Ohio, Illinois, Virginia or North Carolina, and is willing to relocate to an existing Woolpert office in Ohio, Illinois or Virginia. A demonstrated track record of promoting advances in technology, development of staff and managing profitable practice growth and sales. A network of strong regional or national client base is also required. The selected candidate will report directly to Chief Operating Officer.
