Job Description:
We are looking for an Associate Director/Director for our Velocigene Molecular group, dedicated to the generation of targeting vectors for mouse gene targeting. This person will have responsibility for the overall production goals for that group. In addition, they will be responsible for innovation in and the development of the research program for that group, as well as involvement in collaborative research with other scientists. The ideal candidate will have a PhD. in Molecular Biology or a similar discipline, and 8-12 years in general molecular biology, with at least part of that experience in mouse ES cell gene targeting. They will also have a demonstrated ability to innovate in the molecular biology field, evidenced through publications. Experience managing a research group of 10-15 is mandatory. Additionally, experience in both the generation of transgenic mice, and with large DNA constructs such as BAC?s, is required. Experience with recombine ring and robotics is a plus.
