If you'd like to work at the top of the industry, consider our opening for Construction Program Manager. This position will report to the SWA Client Manager in Boca Raton. The candidate will work with an established support team that will expand to provide oversight on the SWA projects as they reach the construction phase. The program for SWA is in the final stages of development and this candidate will lead the transition from a program development to a construction management focus. Candidate will need to build a strong relationship with key SWA staff to be successful in this position. The Construction Program Manager is responsible for drawing resources as required from within the project team and the Boca Raton office to meet client needs. Additionally the candidate will reach out to other offices if needed. The Position would benefit from previous program development in solid waste or utility experience. Ability to oversee horizontal and vertical construction projects for Palm Beach County Solid Waste Authority. Develop a program through direct oversight and management of staff on up to 8 on-going projects. Must have experience in developing and using a scheduling and reporting tool in a multi-project program. Candidate must be able to prepare well written concise reports and project analysis to pro-actively manage the construction program. Candidate must have good interpersonal skills and personality to interface with a challenging client staff as well as URS subordinates and colleagues. Patience, persistence and success driven qualities are required for this position. Ability to multi-task and oversee the program activities including developing guidelines and standards for the Client engineering department and their consultants. Ability to work with the design and planning teams to avoid constructability issues in the design that could effect construction. Candidate is responsible for tracking project construction costs within the program and pro-actively advising the client of potential budget over-runs. Specific software / computer skills needed: Microsoft Office, project scheduling with Primavera, and use of database and internet file transfer protocols.
