Director-Safety/Construction/Commercial/Industrial Job Location: CHARLOTTE, NC IMMEDIATE NEED!!! An electric company is searching for an On Site Safety Director for its Charlotte, North Carolina location. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years safety experience in the construction industry. An Associates/Bachelors degree is preferred, but not required. Applicant must have supervisory experience in commercial/industrial projects; Extensive knowledge in current OSHA policies, regulations, and procedures; Coordinate safety policies and procedures, Ensure company compliance with federal, state and local ordinances and regulations and federal and state safety and health codes; Oversee response to unsafe conditions (environmental safety, hazardous material safety, fire protection, safety inspection, and electrical safety). This position is responsible for safety training, accident investigation, audits, inspections, hazard analysis, fire protection, compliance, maintenance of safety/accident records, machine guarding, and emergency preparedness. Experience in electrical and instrumentation/control services to heavy industrial and automated process facilities is preferred. Applicant must have good communication, organizational and leadership skills and ability to understand technical issues and concepts. CSP, OSHA, and/or STS certification is a PLUS!!!
