Job Description:
EMTs respond to all requests for emergency and non-emergency services. EMTs administer life saving measures as
defined by State of Oklahoma.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Must adhere to the safety policies of the Security Department.
2. Keeps immediate supervisor and designated others fully and accurately informed suggestions for new or improved
ways of addressing such problems.
3. Communicates and coordinates regularly with appropriate others to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of
interdepartmental operations and activities.
4. Responds to emergency calls to provide efficient and immediate care to the critically ill and injured, and transports
the patient to a medical facility.
5. Determines the nature and extent of illness or injury and establishes priority for required emergency care.
6. Duties include but are not limited to, opening and maintaining and airway, ventilating patients, and
cardiopulmonary resuscitation, including use of automated external defibrillators.
Skills
Required:
· Comprehensive knowledge of the current practices and principles involved in EMS operations
· Comprehensive knowledge of all safety practices associated with medical emergency responses
· Excellent communication skills, written and verbal. Such as calming individuals experiencing a medical emergency, handling abusive behavior, creating public trust, giving and receiving information on the radio under
emergency situations
· Excellent Interpersonal skills
