Your opportunity to help build a big, successful company. Make the most of it. We currently have the following immediate opening for our soon to be built Midland, MI location. Plant Manager Reporting to the VP of Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of the Midland facility, including directing the development and implementation of all activities in production area(s) to meet production goals, quality and cost objectives in addition to administering procedures and budgets. The Plant Manager will develop schedules and manpower requirements for the facility and will be responsible for hiring a highly qualified management team. Individual will also make budgetary recommendations regarding capital expenditures and direct/indirect labor. This position requires a BS/MS degree in chemical or mechanical engineering or related in a technical field (MBA preferred) and 10+ years of P&L experience managing production operations in a process oriented environment. Experience managing an organization of 100 or more employees required, along with a strong financial acumen. Experience and expertise in modern manufacturing and supply chain practices including lean, six sigma, and Toyota methodologies is desirable. Position requires a high degree of independence and strong communication, judgment & time management skills. Qualified candidate must have a demonstrated track record of operational excellence in a technical production environment. Candidates with background in CVD, semi-conductor material processing or chemical plant processing would be ideal.
