RELATED WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: (Type and Amount) Minimum of three years of operations experience in a Lean Manufacturing environment. Knowledge of Lean tools (takt, kanban, single piece flow, poke yoke, SMED, APQP and FMEA) preferred. Previous work experience in the water treatment industry preferred. EDUCATION OR DEGREE REQUIRED: B.S. degree in Industrial/Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering plus 5-10 years relevant manufacturing experience required. LICENSE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED: Six Sigma Black Belt preferred JOB DESCRIPTION: 1. Work with Product Engineers, Quality, Model Shop, Tool Room, Laboratory and Assembly personnel on projects to ensure timely completion and proper function. Provides production line support. 2. Provide manufacturing design support for assembly line ergonomic programs, new product design and cost reduction programs. 3. Partners with new product development to ensure APQP activities are properly conducted to ensure proper design for manufacturability. 4. Coordinate all Lean Manufacturing Activities within the Operation. Includes all Kaizen event leading and coordination plus status reporting for both internal/external communications. Involvement in Kaizen Events that may include participation or leadership responsibilities. 5. Ensure testing apparatus and fixturing for product testing is available and functioning to provide the highest quality product. 6. Perform cost analysis and maintain department reports. Track project costs including labor and materials. COGS improvement is the key measure on Lean implementation effectiveness. 7. Responsibility to implement and maintain an effective measurement system for the operations team. Also act as a resource for enterprise wide measurements. 8.
