This 40 year old company designs and delivers high end optical and motion control products to the US government and to high performance commercial markets. You ideally come from a high technology, manufacturing environment. You must have sound knowledge of Material Requirement Planning (MRP) systems and software and have solid organizational and planning skills. You must have prior supervisory experience in manufacturing and be proficient with Microsoft Office. You must be bilingual with excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal managing skills. Your essential job functions include the following: Planning production operations, establishing priorities and sequences for manufacturing products in coordination with monthly production schedules. Analyzing and coordinating human resources requirements and motivating personnel to meet quality expectations and production schedule requirements. Conferring with the Business Unit Manager regarding all quality and material issues affecting the production schedule. Explaining company policies to workers and enforcing safety regulations. Resolving minor work problems, or assisting workers in resolving minor work problems. Notifying Business Unit Manager of any personnel issues affecting production schedule. Maintaining operator discipline to comply with product process specifications in accordance with ISO procedures. Maintaining tooling integrity with production line. Maintaining time and production records. Attending required production meetings to report on schedule progress. Education: Associates Degree and/or 3 years related experience in a high technology, manufacturing environment. Experience: Must have MRP experience and have bi-lingual (English/Spanish)
