Job Description:
As the Plant Controller, your primary responsibilities will include: Manages the monthly general ledger closing including preparation of journal entries as required. Coordinates the reconciliation and maintenance of proper general ledger account balances. Prepares monthly account reconciliations for all assigned accounts including proper documentation for all assigned entries and balances. Coordinates the preparation and review of the monthly Journal Entry binder. Coordinates the preparation and review of the monthly Key Controls binder, used to demonstrate SOX compliance. Responsible for adding/deleting Key Controls documentation as changes to control structure are made. Coordinates and aides in the documentation of Key Controls in database system. Includes quarterly review and updates of process narratives, when needed. Coordinates the maintenance, control, and improvement of all systems used in general accounting, including but not limited to general ledger and financial reporting. Prepares the weekly internal financial statements. Prepares Annual Tax Binder for submittal to Corporate Tax Department. Prepares all required annual Governmental Reporting. Prepares work papers, financial statements for federal, state, and other outside agencies as well as for internal accounting and external/internal audits. Administers employee expenses and P-Card (Purchasing Card) reporting and authority levels. Coordinates Annual Physical inventory, including updating standard work procedures and coordinating observations by internal/external auditors. Coordinates/Prepares Annual Standard Costing roll, including updating standard work procedures and providing management with analysis of impact to inventory and prior cost of sales.
