Job Description:
A member of the International Association of Employment Web Sites seeks a Manufacturing Engineer with 4-7 years of experience in manufacturing engineering. The candidate will be responsible for Responsible for technical expertise within manufacturing. Develop and implement cost-effective manufacturing processes and methods in accordance with product specifications and quality standards. Manage configuration control and Engineering Change Notification (ECN) process. Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues associated with complex robotic systems. Develop and improve manufacturing processes and methods focusing on quality, efficiency cost reduction. Investigate parts design and manufacturing issues and propose and author ECN corrective actions. Design and procure tools and equipment to enhance manufacturing quality and efficiency. Create and implement best method manufacturing process to ensure smooth flow of products through assembly, qualification and shipping. Develop manufacturing processes and create work instructions for new products and changes in existing products. Provide technical expertise to supply chain management, focusing on quality, efficiency and cost reduction. Lead the effort to identify and implement cost effective out-sourcing strategies. Mentor junior engineers and technicians. Responsible for engineering document control and overall ECN process. Maintain Item Master and Bills of Material in ERP system. Verify manufacturing compliance and inventory disposition in accordance with approved ECNs. Conduct Bill of Material audits. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Manufacturing Engineering is required. Experience with 3-D CAD is needed. Proficiency in Solid Works is a plus. Background should include experience with complex electro-mechanical systems is required. Experience implementing Lean Manufacturing principle in a high-tech, low-volume environment is needed. Experience in working directly with suppliers to improve quality and lower costs is required. Must have understanding of ERP systems. Must have direct experience in Engineering Change Processing.
