Job Description:
Responsibilities
Responsible for working with CE retail device vendors to integrate their OCAP host devices against our client¡¦s OCAP infrastructure and applications. Responsible for providing guidance to CE vendors on technical requirements based on our client¡¦s implementation of OCAP. Responsible for creating and updating Integration Test Cases and procedures and the methodical execution of detailed integration tests on CE OCAP devices to ready them for TQA testing.
• Work with upstream Product, Architecture, and Engineering teams to understand and refine requirements and all associated documents required to support integration testing.
• Update CE Lab Procedures document to include emulation of field procedures for provisioning and detail to enable new testers to be able to quickly ramp up and execute tests.
• Ensure that lab environments meet specifications for testing for both Moto and SA networks by working with peer engineers.
• Update test cases to cover major OCAP platform functionality and features, including new specifications and to improve test coverage.
• Work with CE vendors in the lab to verify functionality, identify bugs, acquire logs and work with peer engineers in SI and JV groups to resolve bugs
• Execute integration tests tests per required timelines/milestones and document results.
• Work with downstream testing teams in support of their test plans provide risk analysis.
Job Requirements:
Education
„X B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related field. The equivalent in directly related experience and self study may be substituted.
„X Experience in a Development, Integration, Testing or a Product QA environment is required.
„X Work experience in Cable or an Engineering related field is also desirable.
„X Work experience in actual development of set top boxes and Java software development is a plus.
