Overview The Associate, Operations Manufacturing under the direction of the Manufacturing Manager, ensures that all phases of manufacturing activities are performed in a safe manner and in compliance with both internal policies and procedures and regulatory guidelines. Responsibilities _ Utilize and embrace lean manufacturing activities and other cost reduction activities. _ Participate in process improvement initiatives. _ Assist in developing new and/or revise existing policies and procedures. _ Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications EDUCATION/TRAINING High School Diploma or equivalent EXPERIENCE 0 - 2 years of progressive experience SKILLS Able to gather and analyze relevant information, and coordinate work with other team members. Contributes information and ideas to development of project plans. Identifies complex problems and recommends solutions. Makes sound decisions on routine matters in support of immediate work group's goals. Functions independently within context of day-to-day activities. Influences how own work assignments are completed. Some creativity in accomplishing assignments and use of discretion and independent judgment required. Work requires analysis using established procedures to solve routine problems. Experience participating in process improvement initiatives. Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing techniques. Excellent communication skills. MS Office proficiency. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Sedentary involves constant sitting. Must be able to lift 10 pounds occasionally, frequent lifting of 1-2 pounds. TRAVEL Must be able to travel on an occasional basis.
