Job Description:
Responsibilities to include:- Schedule and assign work to employees, providing necessary materials, equipment and documents for its completion- Maintain a balanced workload by taking readings throughout the day, adjusting/ reassigning personnel as needed- Monitor work performance to ensure quality and quantity expectations are being met. Provide training for new and inexperienced employees- Provide positive feedback and foster an environment that encourages teamwork emphasizing Core Values- Counsel employees for below standard performance, absenteeism or violations of Company policy- Conduct employee meetings and verify daily worksheets are completed accurately and submitted on timely basis- Three to five years of supervisory experience in a retail distribution/warehouse or manufacturing environment- Demonstrated excellent management skills in decision-making, use of judgment, and problem solving- Proven outstanding leadership abilities- Excellent written and verbal skills- Proficient in using a PC (Windows NT, Microsoft Office)- Willing to work off-shifts- Demonstrated involvement in the practice of change management- Bachelors degree preferred with coursework in Management or Logistics- Spanish bi-lingual skills preferredDistribution Center - Production Supervisor This position is responsible for directing the activities in the production area that include piece picking and/or case picking store orders, replenishing shelves, maintaining a high degree of accuracy for all paperwork and administration of company and department procedures. This position is also accountable for the training and development of the non-exempt staff (supervising 20-25 employees), including maintaining employee morale and efficiency by providing direction and coaching.
