Job Description:

A company providing architectural and civil engineering services seeks a Senior Architect with 8+ years as a practicing licensed architect. Responsibilities for this role will include: Applying incentive and diversified knowledge of architectural principles and practices in broad areas. Uses advanced techniques, theory precepts and practices in the architectural field and related sciences and disciplines. A lead position, this level includes technical direction over a group of architects and/or a technical specialist, responsible for researching, planning, designing, and administering a variety of building projects (commercial, healthcare, retail/distribution, institutional) for public and/or private clients. Coordinates technical and administrative activities with architects, engineers, and other departments in the company participating in a project. Serves as a technical specialist, staff advisor, and consultant to the architectural specialty, for a given building project (commercial, healthcare, retail/distribution, institutional). Carries out complex or novel assignments requiring the development of new or improved architectural techniques or procedures to create new or refined equipment, materials, processes, or methods. Markets the firms capabilities, within the architectural specialty, to establish new clients and enhance relationships with existing clients. Prepares proposals for potential projects. Participates in the selection of design teams, and sub consultants, and in the negotiations of fees and subcontractors. Conducts reviews or assists in the design/planning/review of other architectural projects. May supervise architects and support personnel; evaluates performance; assigns and schedules work; establishes project priorities and standards; makes recommendations on hiring, firming and promotions; provides technical support of project work. May assist the department/division manager in preparation of the department/division budget and policy implementation. Holds membership in professional associations and participates on company committees. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in architecture. Should be licensed as a Registered Architect (R.A.)
