We currently have an opening in Harrisonburg, VA for a Construction Engineer to work on water and wastewater treatment construction projects. Responsibilities: Take pre-construction photos of the project site prior to initiation of construction activities and take additional photos through the project Maintain contact with project design team to facilitate review and response of contract related issues Become knowledgeable with the pertinent information of a construction project, including but not limited to the plans and specifications, restriction and right-of-ways, permits, test procedures, schedules, shop drawings, utility locations and information Oversee and monitor contractor\'s activities in regard to site layout, delivery of materials, and general compliance with approved shop drawings and sound construction practices Ensure contractor\'s activities adhere to established safety policies Attend project meetings and draft meeting minutes Evaluate need for construction modifications and forward to design team Perform quantity take-offs and estimates for change proposals Maintain field records Monitor and review monthly schedule submittals Maintain records of payment quantities incorporated into work Maintain up-to-date marked-up set of project drawings Skills and Qualifications Requirements: Bachelor\'s degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management Basic computer skills including word and excel are a must, Prolog a plus AA/EOE M/F/D/V
