Job Description The primary purpose of this position is to support Construction and Corporate Capital Expenditures Accounting by preparing underlying schedules which support overall In-Process schedules. This position will monitor transactions of store computer purchases, and store resets and remodels, agree them to sub-ledger and general ledger totals, and move the project totals in an organized fashion to the Fixed Assets Department for loading into the FA sub-ledger. Frequent independent judgments are essential. The incumbent is also required to perform all tasks in a safe manner consistent with corporate policies and state and federal laws. The associate is responsible for the functions below, in addition to other duties as assigned: 1. Detail tracking of fixture shipments from both Fixture Distribution Center and other third-party consolidators in order to account for the fixtures by store. 2. Detail tracking of store computer purchases, installations at stores, and inventory levels at depots. 3. Manage the project closeout process between CIP and Fixed Assets including managing the organization of invoice support, agreeing dollars to ledgers, and final review of capitalized costs. 4. Detail tracking of signage installations and reconciliation to signage deposits. 5. Maintain key control logs for key transactions related to Construction. 6. Prepare and record necessary journal entries as required by the Department. Experience / Requirements The following qualities are required: Minimum age of 18 years old for business travel. Ability to pass drug test. Committed to providing customer service that makes both internal and external customers feel welcome, important, and appreciated. Ability to preserve confidentiality of information. Ability and willingness to move with purpose and a strong sense of urgency. Ability to work extended days on an occasional basis. Accuracy and attention to detail. Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of tasks/projects. Proficiency with the Microsoft® Excel. The following qualities are helpful: Ability to work weekends on a rare basis. Ability to work day shift(s). Familiarity with industry/technical terms and processes. Ability to work within strict time frames and resolute deadlines. Ten-key punch speed of 4,000 SPH. Proficiency with the Microsoft® Office Access. Education Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in Accounting; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
