Job Description:
This person manages all services related to the room operations for a conference center on the campus of the University of Alabama in Huntsville. The rooms manager will be responsible for all functions associated with meeting rooms, conference rooms, and hotels rooms. The ideal candidate will have - hotel or conference center room and conference space booking experience - experience working with a house keeping staff to insure room and conference spaces are maintained to standards - experience hiring, training and leading an hourly support staff which includes housekeeping and facility maintenance - experience driving sales and controlling costs. ~cb~Position Posting Title: Rooms ManagerPosition Summary: Maintains a high level of client/guest satisfaction and quality standards through room maintenance and front desk support. Manages meeting and/or housing services, including housekeeping, physical maintenance, booking of rooms, budget and financial management and people management. Basic Education Requirement: High School Diploma or GED Basic Management/Supervisory Experience Required: 1 year of lead hourly/supervisory/management experience Basic Functional Experience Required: 1 year of work experience in service industry You may substitute 1 additional year of experience for each year of education below the basic requirement above as long as you possess a high-school diploma or GED.
