Job Description:

Responsible for the efficient operation of Room Service Department. Act without prior approval and with full authority under the guidelines given to ensure that all policies and procedures are followed.2. Follow policies and procedures when taking necessary action as needed.3. Maintain effective flow of communication within the department.4. Maintain a close working relationship with all department heads.5. Attend all department head meetings.6. Maintain Room Service delivery time standards for all meal periods.7. Establish and maintain call back system to assure guest satisfaction.8. Handle and relay all guest complaints to the Resident Manager.9. Monitor guest comments cards as they relate to Room Service and provide correction when applicable.10. Develop new and maintain repeat business through effective guest relations.11. Ensure accurate record keeping. Establish and maintain a Daily Log Book to include F & B sales by meal period vs. forecast and other data as needed.12. Communicate with guests and make recommendations for menu and beverage selection.13. Ensure that all employees are properly inducted and oriented to the department. REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE: MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS1. 2-3 years experience in supervisory level, preferably in upscale hotel food and beverage program.2. Good communication skills.3. Able to reach, push, carry and lift Room Service equipment up to 50 pounds.4. Able to read and understand instructions, safety rules, etc.5. Familiar with Labor Union laws.
