Job Description:
 A voluntary health organization seeks a Finance Director with 3+ years of leadership experience in financial management and experience supervising professional and clerical staff. The candidate will be responsible for providing management leadership and direction for the financial and operational functions of the area chapter (serving 37 counties through six offices, staff of 11). Responsible for the performance of all financial functions and operations, including personnel. Will be a member of the chapter leadership team. Actively participate in the chapter's management team to ensure effective integration of strategic directions into finance and technology workplans. Provide leadership to appropriate board committees. Provide hands-on leadership for the development and oversight of all chapter finance and operations. Responsible for the day-to-day financial operations as follows: Monthly financial statements and account analysis; accounts payable and accounts receivable accounting; payroll processing coordination with outside services; financial planning and budgeting; chapter investments; banking functions; local hardware support; chapter computer network and network administration coordination with outside services; annual external audit. Responsible for the recruitment, training, supervision and coaching of chapter finance and technology staff and volunteers, as required; coordinate the work of contractors and outside service providers. Assure compliance with all association policies, procedures, standards and applicable regulatory requirements; promote association wide programs and initiatives. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or business, or equivalent work experience. Should have experience in strategic planning and budget development and management. Should be proficient with Microsoft Office applications and accounting software packages such as Solomon, Great Plains, FundEasy, Peachtree, MAS 90, MAS 500.
