Job Description:
As a Technology Intern at Young Hollywood (www.younghollywood.com) , you can get involved in the development, design, and support of leading edge Web applications and online solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES could include:
Design and develop web products and tools
Develop large content management systems including data repositories, Web based data access and UI
Conduct analysis and performance tuning of servers
Design or write program specifications based on consultations with supervisor, system analysts, other programmers, and end users
Convert designs and specifications into computer code
Coordinate with other programmers about program revisions
Job Requirements:
QUALIFICATIONS include:
Currently enrolled in Bachelors degree program in Computer Science or related discipline
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team on multiple overlapping projects
Self motivation and strong communication skills
Analysis skills for coding, testing/troubleshooting and for building and configuring applications
Experience in many of these areas is desirable: Operating systems Unix, Linux, Windows XP/2003/Vista, Mac, Databases MySQL, Applications/Platforms/Languages JavaScript, Java, XML, JSP, JSF, AJAX
Working knowledge of scripting languages such as Perl and UNIX-based programming
Ability to work at least 10-15 hours per week
