Job Description:
 A financial services company focused primarily on real estate finance seeks a Loan Officer with 2+ years’ experience in mortgage sales with a history of funding 8 units per month in a large corporate environment or the equivalent. The candidate will be responsible for advising potential borrowers regarding appropriate loan programs which may best suit their needs. Engaging in follow-up activities with prospective borrowers. Filing renegotiations and underwriting program changes. Assisting loan specialist in gathering file documentation. Completing loan application forms and adverse action notices, when appropriate. The preferred candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, real estate and mortgage finance, business or related field and/or equivalent experience. Applicants with less than 2 years of origination experience must have a history of funding 8 units per month. Applicants who have little or no origination experience must have solid industry experience in one of the following areas: Real estate, mortgage processing/underwriting, retail banking or collections. Should have knowledge of the applicable laws and regulations pertaining to mortgage banking, financial services, mutual funding and/or the workplace (FSLA, Civil Rights Act, and American Disabilities Act.). Should have strong mortgage sales background with a proven track record of success. Superior knowledge of mortgage loan origination, operations, products and real estate transactions is essential. Demonstrated experience in selling mortgages in a large corporate environment is required. Thorough understanding of fair lending guidelines is necessary.
