Job Description:

A company providing online financial applications for banks, credit unions and wealth management firms seeks a Senior Financial Analyst with 5-8 years’ experience in financial analysis with increasing responsibility; software/ technology company experience. The candidate will be responsible for working with the FP&A manager, prepare and manage the budgeting and forecasting process that results in an annual budget and periodic forecasts; including expense budgets, capital spending and project costs for the COO’s organization. Provide analytical models as required for executive management, including ongoing operational efficiency analysis. Produce monthly variance analysis and assist with identifying the appropriate accounting for operating departments. Prepares the budget and financial forecasts of the operational organizations located in California. Ensure monthly operational reporting of variances in spending to plan. Produce annual operating plan that encompasses expense budgets, capital spending and project costs; as well as key indicators. Participate in the monthly closing of the books as needed, primarily with regard to departmental expense issues. Participate in the management of the financial system (NetSuite) to increase the efficiency and productivity of the finance organization. Work closely with the COO and the management team in California to provide financial models as required. The candidate should have B.A./B.S. in accounting/ finance or equivalent, CPA or M.B.A. preferred. Financial services experience helpful. Experience in high growth environment required. Should have prior budgeting and forecasting experience an absolute requirement. Familiarity with GAAP is essential.
