Job Description:
Director of Operations
This is a growing, highly profitable, fast paced 75M instrumentation division of a Fortune 500. This Director will manage production, manufacturing engineering, quality and the entire supply chain. Client is aggressively pursuing LEAN.
Primary responsibilities:
1. Develop and manage processes, operations, facility and staff to meet company performance objectives for quality, on-time delivery and costs.
2. Reduce operational costs and improve gross margins.
3. Improve production efficiency and utilization.
4. Establish group goals.
5. Improve supply chain performance.
6. Prepare operating budgets and plans.
7. Provide development opportunities, performance management processes and a team-oriented environment for managers and staff (200 people).
Job Requirements:
Required:
• BS degree ; MBA degree an asset
• Minimum of 5 years experience leading 200+ person manufacturing and supply chain operation
• Mechanical / electro mechanical manufacturing experience
• Machine shop knowledge is a plus
• Track record of customer orientation; Process driven, fact based, focus on continuous improvement, results oriented
• Comprehensive Quality systems understanding
• Six sigma or LEAN background
• Significant Materials management including international supply chain management experience
Location: 495/Route 2 area in MA
Compensation: 100-150K plus bonus potential
