Eaton Corporation located in Southfield, MI has an opening for Materials Management and Logistics Manager.The primary responsibility of this position is to provide leadership to the implementation of a standard, material replenishment process. Responsibilities include development, coordination and deployment of the activities of integrated materials management including demand forecasting, capacity planning, product scheduling, material / product delivery, supplier replenishment and integrated logistics processes. Working closely with the Automotive Group Director of Supply Chain Management and Division Supply Chain Managers, this position assists in establishing and maintaining a high velocity, reliable material delivery process at the lowest total cost of ownership.The Manager of Material Management acts as the group\'s champion to continuously improve common inventory planning and management practices to achieve optimized total cost of delivery for both raw and finished goods in support of the group\'s global sourcing and manufacturing strategies.If interested, please apply online at www.eatonjobs.com indicating salary requirements/history. As a group level representative, this person must continually demonstrate a complete understanding of both operational need and business objectives. The ability to quickly analyze operational inefficiencies and separate legitimate supplier performance issues is needed. Advanced understanding of lean logistics theory, deployment and measurement is essential. In-depth understanding of domestic and international transportation modes, capabilities and practices. *Undergraduate degree required, MBA or Masters degree in Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain preferred.*7-10 years experience or more in material management and logistics*Global business experience is highly desirable. *Highly advanced analytical and cognitive skills.
