Job Description:
Manages, directs and controls logistic support services within a contract or field organization. Oversees the performance of a broad array of assignments, related to the procurement, receipt, shipment, and disposition of materials, in a variety of areas such as inventory management, warehousing, material control, property management, transportation activities, technical documentation and other duties associated with life cycle technologies relating to DOD or contracts. Interprets and executes corporate policy, develops budgets and performs fiscal management responsibilities. May administer small business plans and participate in subcontract negotiations. Leads TQ efforts/processes to ensure customer satisfaction. Provides training/guidance to subordinate personnel. Recommends personnel actions. May act as a buyer or oversee procurement activities to ensure adherence to established procedures. Performs all other duties as assigned. Works within broad policies and corporate objectives. Plans, assigns, and evaluates the work of subordinates. Operates with substantial latitude provided that actions are consistent with corporate objectives. Work is multi-faceted and complex requiring coordination and integration. Participates in the determination and direction of policy changes in meeting the needs of the customer. Comprehensive knowledge of a diverse variety of logistic support services is needed to complete complex assignments. Knowledge of DOD, FAR, and ATSC policies regarding inventory management, procurement regulations and inventory processes associated with life cycle support may be essential in meeting specific customer contract requirements at various ATSC locations.
