Under the general supervision of a Regional Claims Director, organizes, directs and manages daily operations of a Branch Claims Office, supervising personnel and procedures to provide prompt and fair claims service within assigned geographic area. Assures handling of claims in accordance with established company guidelines and consistent with achievement of management objectives. Provides daily guidance and assistance to administrative and clerical personnel in carrying out their duties. Is responsible for hiring, training and continuing development of personnel assigned to Branch Office. Oversees routine upkeep and maintenance of physical facilities and equipment. Requirements: Minimum five years experience in a claims environment. Thorough knowledge of insurance claims operations, and specifically Shelters policies and claims procedures is preferred General education background equivalent to full course of study at the college level. Must possess a valid drivers license, good driving record and have ability to travel frequently. Skills described in job description. Satisfactory work history and excellent attendance record.
