Job Description:
Evaluate the business performance of each location and drive sales strategies within given region. The manager will be expected to share best practices among all states for which they will be responsible as well as the recruiting, coaching and development of the team. 1) Oversee overall staffing, hiring, training, employee development and employee relation issues for respective area. 2) Deliver and maintain sales objectives and service levels. 3) Interview candidates for all levels of sales positions. 4) Assist in the development of sales and marketing strategies and tactics for given region. Develop detailed plans for implementing the strategy and tactics. 5) Develop annual performance objectives. 6) Provide tactical and strategic direction for service/sales delivery operations. 7) Prepare and administer annual performance evaluations and quarterly checkpoint meetings. 8) Develop and maintain expense budget relative to overall plan. 9) Foster open and direct communication throughout organization, sharing plan and goals and providing motivation to staff. Requirements Qualifications Required: 1) Demonstrates leadership, a high level of autonomy, independence, and decision making. Demonstrates comfort level with ambiguity in daily job responsibilities. Demonstrates good understanding of the insurance industry and insurance agency channel. Prior experience of leading insurance agent team (ex. Regional Agent Manager). 2) Customer/sales oriented. Demonstrates the ability to make the Human Connection and empathize with the customers is critical. Experience with relationship management for groups and partners. 3) Self-starter, entrepreneurial, dedicated and hard-working. Demonstrates a high degree of dependability and motivation. 4) Demonstrates the ability to think analytically and track/monitor/analyze and continuously improve the business. 5) Demonstrates strong oral communication skills. Ability to interact effectively and confidently with all levels of the organization including presenting business plans and engaging in business reviews. 6) Demonstrates the ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
