Interpretation Program Presenter
MUSEUM OF SCIENCE, BOSTON

Program Presenters assist other Interpretation staff in creating unique, informal education experiences for museum visitors in the exhibit halls. They help guide visitors through activities/exhibit components and also initiate development of new activities. The Baseball As America Exhibit Interpretation Program Presenter’s primary responsibility will be to assist other Interpretation staff in creating unique, informal education experiences for museum visitors throughout the Home Plate Baseball Lab part of the exhibit. They will help visitors explore cart-based activities and exhibit components on themes of baseball physics and material science. They may interact with museum visitors in a full-length pitching cage. This exhibit component allows visitors to try pitching like a big leaguer while exploring speed, velocity, acceleration and spinning forces.

Grant-funded, part-time from June 9 - Sept 1, 2008. Weekday & weekend shifts are available. Work hours are either 8:30am - 4:30pm, or 11:30am - 7:30pm. As we are hiring several temporary Program Presenters for this special exhibit, please specify the days & hours you are able to commit to on a regular basis from June 9 - Sept 1, 2008.
