The Director of Business Development is a critical position within MV. Success in this position requires a highly competitive individual with exceptional personal motivation. Job can be based in any Northeast major city. This opportunity offers unlimited opportunities and includes some of the general responsibilities as follows: Lead and manage business development efforts to achieve annualized growth goals as established for the company. Conduct and lead all activities associated with securing new and maintaining current business opportunities for the firm. This includes, but is not limited to responding to RFP`s, attending pre-proposal conferences, attending interviews, interviewing/selecting management teams, preparing budgets and all other aspects of managing the procurement process. MUST be able to work in a multiple task environment that is controlled by rigid deadlines. MUST be able to handle many different projects at one time, while properly prioritizing projects and adhering to established schedules. MUST be willing to travel extensively. Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and public relations strategy. Requirements Must have transit or like experience (example is Waste Management) and excellent presentation skills. Must be willing to travel extensively. Preferred 5-7 years of experience in leadership or management positions in the public transportation industry. Proven track record of achieving established goals.
