Provide the strategic direction and influence the creative outcome of the campaign. Partner with Market Knowledge throughout the qualitative and quantitative testing of creative and negotiate production budgets. Partner with the Global Marketing Unit (GMU) to secure budgets and approval of the recommended strategy for advertising campaigns planned for the Americas or other markets as assigned. Provide expertise and utilize influencing skills to shape GMU and global marketing procurement decisions. Support resulting initiatives, transitions and best practices for the Americas region. Lead agency partners in the development of annual B2C and B2B communication plans. Lead upfront buy for relevant B2C brands. Recommend annual media investment by brand based on quantitative research and brand strategy. Facilitate partnership with Managers of Sponsorship and Web & Loyalty and leverage scale of media initiatives to enable creation or augmentation of programs planned in Sponsorship and Web & Loyalty. Ensure timely accessibility of competitive intelligence for media investment and creative executions. Seek to understand media and creative trends and their impact on Castrol's communication strategy. Recommend changes to ensure Castrol remains competitive in the marketplace. Lead development of public relations activities to support brand strategies. Negotiate agency scopes of work and staffing plans to ensure appropriate resources while driving cost efficiencies Required Qualifications: To be considered for the role of Advertising & Public Relations Manager applicants must have: Legal authorization to work in the US on a full time basis for anyone other than current employer.
