Manage the flow of client media-related issues based on changes in direction, goals, and budgets. Be aware of the need to create solutions and resolve problems.* Maintain budget control and ensure execution of media plans by reviewing approved media schedules, developing buy specs, and monitoring buys/schedules.* Maintain effective communication with agency buying personnel to ensure accuracy, timeliness and that campaign needs are met.* Foster a good working relationship with buying, interactive and retail departments to facilitate flawless execution of plans.* Establish and maintain good rapport with media sales representatives and vendors.* Explore media alternatives and be creative in recommending media solutions.* Be accurate to instill/maintain client confidence.* Is at all times alert to new media and new methods of using existing media and new developments, and shares with the planning group of such developments * Facilitate POVs/position papers on key client issues and/or client opportunities.* Develop and maintain working knowledge of media-related and other basic computer software packages.* Oversee and train assistant media planner on day-to-day client documents and activity, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. Job Requirements * Ability to perform basic media math calculations* Knowledge of media research tools and resources.
