A company helping to prevent pediatric HIV infection and to eradicate pediatric AIDS seeks an Human Resources Generalist with 5+ years’ experience as an HR Generalist. The candidate will administer and implement all domestic and expatriate staff benefits program. Serve as point of contact to field employee questions relating to foundation provided benefits: Medical, dental, vision, flexible spending accounts, life, retirement savings plans, disability, leave and holidays. Manage yearly open enrollment process, including negotiating with vendor and facilitating employee meetings. Assist vice president in ongoing benefit reviews and plan changes. Manage enrollment, changes and updates; and act as main point of contact for applicable vendor relationships. Manage COBRA administration for US based staff and expatriates. Responsible for all benefits related billing, correct discrepancies and process for timely payment. Manage foundation-wide annual, mid year and 90 day performance management process, including communications, presentations and program enhancements. Focus on streamlining, automating and using technology to create an interactive performance management system. Maintain HR information system records and compile reports from database as necessary. Ensure team is using HRIS to full capacity and develop strategies to enhance effectiveness and efficiency. Responsible for data input into HRIS, including new hires, updates and status changes. Coordinate activities between HRIS and payroll systems. Represent and act as back up to HR team members when necessary and on special projects. Work with VP, HR on special projects related to compensation structure, competitiveness and tracking. Conduct yearly review of compensation data and purchase benchmarking data as necessary. Conduct new employee orientations relating to benefit programs, both domestic and international. Develop communication strategies with employees to increase participation and enhance their understanding of benefit options in order to make educated decisions. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in human resource management or related field. PHR/SPHR certification preferred. Must have strong benefits experience. Requires prior knowledge of principles and practices of human resources. Prior experience with an HRIS database required, ADP/HRP strongly preferred. Ability to travel to other Foundation offices, as requested. Knowledge of French or Portuguese is helpful.
