A company making semiconductors seeks a Senior Software Engineer with 7+ years of relevant experience. The candidate will be working in a team engaging directly with engineers, Team Apple, SSG Product and Services Group (Compiler and Tools) as well as fellow SSG SW engineers. Responsible for on-site software optimization support for various applications and various components of operating system OS X. Responsible for the performance profiling and architectural tuning for various IA processors and platforms. Developing presentation material and collateral in order to educate engineers as well as 3rd party Mac developers. The candidate should have Bachelor’s or a Master’s of science degree in computer science or electrical engineering. Additional qualifications include: Knowledge of x86 instruction set, current Core 2 micro-architecture, and performance tools are a must with demonstrated success in software performance analysis and optimizations; Fluent in C/C++. Demonstrated success in leading technical assignments, effectively driving technical issues and decisions, working across sites. Software skills with video, audio and image processing software development would be an added advantage.
