Job Description:
 A company providing IT solutions to Federal Civilian, Homeland Security, Defense and Intelligence organizations seeks a Software Engineer with 2+ years’ experience. The candidate will plan, analyze, design, develop, test, document and implement software enhancements and software corrections in a J2EE environment. Assists other programmer/analysts in analysis, design, development, test, document and implementation of software enhancements and software corrections. Establishes program and data parameters and formats. Coordinates and/or modifies users requirements with existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities. Converts symbolic statements of problems into appropriate specifications for coding computer systems identifying functions to be programmed, information techniques used, and data representations. Prepares documentation, conducts program tests, corrects program errors, and analyzes system capabilities to resolve questions of program standards, output requirements, input data acquisition, and programming techniques and controls. Advises on new techniques, leading edge technologies, and estimates costs associated with data processing programs. Develops procedures and operating instructions. Revises existing programs, systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, and storage. May analyze a variety of technical problems to formulate and develop new and modified information systems (Web services). The candidate should have B.A. degree in information systems and computer science. B.S. degree in computer science is desired. Create Web services in a J2EE or .NET environment, Java Enterprise Edition, SQL, UNIX, and XML.
