Maintenance Mechanic (TNMainMech51408) Job

Reporting to the Production Manager, repairs and maintains machinery, equipment, structures, utility systems, plumbing, electrical systems and buildings.

• Maintains general production facility and office equipment in a safe state of repair. Makes routine inspection of safety equipment, as required. Performs general inspection of all equipment for safety requirements and recommends appropriate action to manager.
  
• Repairs, and maintains machinery and electrical/mechanical equipment using testing instruments, hand and power tools and precision-measuring instruments.
  
• Installs functional and structural parts in devices or equipment.
  
• Performs or assists or directs work in building modifications or plant or office layout changes, etc., as assigned. Performs or assists in modifications and installations of plant and office equipment, etc., as assigned.
  
• Moves, installs, and adjusts fixtures, motors, and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
  
• Takes appropriate corrective action in emergency situations such as power, water, air and heating equipment failures, fires, etc.
  
• Performs preventative maintenance (per PM schedule) and repairs production facility machinery and equipment.
  
• Contacts contracted vendors for maintenance procedures as required.
  
• Maintains records of repairs and purchases. Maintains file of Service Manuals for production equipment.
  
• Maintains an inventory of required spare parts for critical production equipment.
  
• Performs or directs the exterior maintenance for the facilities.

• Education: Trade school program certificate, or equivalent combination of education and experience.


• Experience: 5 or more years related experience.
