Job Description: A strategic business partner, the Human Resources Manager is responsible for resolving all employee and EEO issues. You will be tasked with identifying skills gaps and develop training plans to remedy those deficiencies. You will coordinate safety programs and activities to promote safety awareness and develop individual accountability for safe work practices. The HR Manager is responsible for all day to day labor issues, activities, recruitment, compensation and benefits administration.
Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to: • Implement corporate compensation programs in the plant and provide input to Regional HR Manager on compensation policy that supports the plants strategic objectives. • Administer corporate benefit plan within the plant. • Conduct staffing activities for the plant at all levels. • With line management, resolve employee accountability issues and EEO related issues. • Communicate HR programs and policies with all employees and address all HR related questions. • Identify and document current skill bases and future needs for all employees. • Conduct and/or arrange training and development at all levels of the plant. • Champion the Union Avoidance Plan. • Serve as Safety Coordinator under guidance of Corporate Safety. • Coordinate development of job descriptions, new hire orientation. • Develop a working relationship with Regional/Corporate HR and Legal staffs.
Job Requirements: Minimum requirements: A Bachelors degree in HR or Business with at least 2 years of demonstrated HR Manager experience along with two years of managerial experience. Demonstrated training and development experience. Demonstrated experience managing conflict with grace and tact and maintaining confidentiality.
Preferred qualifications: Change management experience and HR Manager experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment. Demonstrated Spanish proficiency (bilingual).
