Job Description:
 An organization providing health care services seeks a Director of Accounting with 7-10 years’ experience in all aspects of accounting and well versed in issues encountered by managers. The candidate will be responsible for directing all aspects of the accounting department. Manages multiple demands efficiently and ensures customer satisfaction by completing monthly accounting functions. Responsible for directing and coordinating the work of accounting managers in aspects of accounting (accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, purchasing, payroll, claims payable, cash, and investments). Direct all accounting functions that contribute to the monthly financial statement closing process. Establishment of policies and procedures for the preparation and release of financial information to internal and external customers. Regulatory reporting. Financial statement preparation. Manage year end audit. Contribute to annual corporate budgeting process. Complete any additional tasks requested by Controller, AVP of Finance, and CFO. The candidate should have B.A./B.S. degree in business/accounting. M.B.A. preferred. Healthcare experience a plus.
