Job Description:
 A mutual fund firm seeks a Senior Mutual Fund Accountant with 2+ years of experience in accounting, finance or related function. The candidate will work within a team responsible for calculating the daily net asset value of one to two mutual funds within American funds family. Other responsibilities include: Review and analyze transactions related to dividends, interest, corporate actions, fund and portfolio purchases and sales; prepare bank reconciliations, as well as cash and income projections; prepare fund financial statements, including annual and semi-annual reports, SEC filings and board of directors’ reports; participate in special projects. Expect to work with other groups to enhance work processes and improve overall service delivered to internal and external client groups. The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business administration, finance or a related degree. CPA or M.B.A. a plus. Interest in mutual funds or the investment management industry a plus.
