Job Description:

A company providing systems development, consulting, voice and data communications services seeks a Senior Accountant with 1-3 years of accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment. The candidate will be responsible for providing timely and accurate information to plant management. Ensure company accounting and financial policies are followed. Manage the set-up and depreciation of the plant's fixed assets. Manage all capital projects from the accounting perspective. Perform G/L account reconciliations and analyses. Prepare, review and analyze monthly journal entries. Perform post-audit economic evaluation assessments of capital projects. Lead and participate in statistical audits, interim inventories, build station audits and cost factor reviews. Suggest operating efficiency improvements. Perform Sarbanes-Oxley and internal control testing. Participate in year-end closing activities (prepare various 10-K, tax and audit schedules). The candidate should have Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting. Working towards CPA/MBA desirable. Strong understanding of accounting concepts is essential.
