A market leader in insurance and investment product lines seeks a Senior Financial Analyst with 5-7 years of accounting/finance experience. The candidate will be accountable for controlling the following expense accounting functions for the US Annuity business unit: Budgeting, expense management, reporting, cost allocations and analysis. This position will also supervise the infrastructure recovery process as well as managed staff. Co-ordinate the expense management process ensuring that all operating expenses are properly accounted for by cost center and legal entity. Co-ordinate the preparation of the annual expense budget by compiling well documented information. Complete cost studies and develop/maintain cost allocation systems to support analysis and reporting of operating expenses by product, function and legal entity. Maintain fixed asset records and ensure that corporate capitalization policies are being followed. Develop and implement procedures to improve expense management and reporting. Interact with line departments and senior management on expense accounting and expense management issues. Review overhead, IT and other allocations to ensure that they are equitable to the BU. Participate in the restructure of expense accounting processes that result from mergers or corporate reorganizations. The candidate should have Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance. Advanced degree and/or professional certification a plus. Advanced skills in use of Essbase is required. Advanced understanding of accounting principles and procedures is essential. Experience in financial reporting and forecasting is necessary.
