EN-711 Java Developer - Staff - Carpinteria, CA
Salary: BOE
The premier fixed income management firm in Southern California seeks a motivated, experienced and dedicated Java Developer. This is a permanent, full-time position reporting to the Head of Technology.
This is an opportunity to work at a fun, up-beat, fast-paced, highly successful company located steps from the ocean in Carpinteria, a beautiful beach community an hour north of Los Angeles.
Excellent salary and bonus package. This position requires very exact skills and experience and the client is willing to pay a commensurate compensation to get someone with the desired experience.
In this position you will:
o. Analyze program requirements and software capabilities to determine the best software solutions.
o. Develop customized financial applications with Java, JINI, Java Spaces, Rule Engines, EJB/Weblogic, JSP, XML, XSLT, JAXP, Swing, Tomcat Web Server, Apache, MS SQL Server on Windows and Linux servers; designs and develops High Performance Distributed Client Server applications
o. Perform on-call duties, system implementations and upgrades that may occur after normal business hours and on weekends as required to minimize business impact
Job Requirements:
o 7+ years experience with Java-related technologies such as Java, JINI, Java Spaces, Rule Engines, EJB/Weblogic, JSP, XML, XSLT, JAXP, Swing, Tomcat Web Server, Apache, MS SQL Server, etc. (Required)
o. 2+ years of experience in the Fixed Income and/or Financial Services industries (ABOLUTELY REQUIRED)
o. BS or Masters degree in Computer Science (Required)
o. Experience with financial vendor tools (Bloomberg, CMS BondEdge, YieldBook, etc.) a major plus
