Job Description:
Will be in charge of all Quality Control and Assurance operations in a machining environment.
Develop and complete plans to address critical areas for improvement
Develop and manage supplier control process including audits.
Manage the internal quality system and ensure documentation of nonconformance within the Quality System.
Maintain and communicate quality related metrics.
Ensure appropriate development, implementation, communication and adoption of quality plans.
Ensure the effective management of corrective actions and process, proper prioritization, ownership and accountability for adding and closing all corrective actions.
Develop and communicate effective quality assurance awareness procedures.
Maintain appropriate staffing levels. Balance resource capacity to workload based on the implementation of efficient practices.
Continually look for ways to improve methods and documentation for all business processes related to quality.
Assist with strategic quality planning for the organization. Identify, analyze, assess, define and prioritize key quality projects, metrics and goals to support company objectives.
Work with sales and customer service to develop effective and efficient solutions to customer quality problems.
Job Requirements:
7 or more years of related quality experience. At least three years in a management position with at least three direct reports.
Related manufacturing experience required; Machining operations experience a big plus.
Five years experience with ISO9000 or an equivalent Quality Management System.
Desired experience in Lean Manufacturing.
Demonstrated knowledge and application experience in continuous improvement.
Previous supplier control and interaction highly desired.
Must be proficient in CMM Programming, operation and results analysis.
Related Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) Statistical analysis. Blueprint reading.
Familiarity and success with Error Proofing and Corrective Action processes.
Good communication skills is a must.
Self-directed, takes initiative, Flexible, Strong technical aptitude, Leadership abilities, Organized, Willingness to travel. Prefer someone who began at the operator level and has demonstrated growth to current career level. Could be someone currently working as Quality Manager looking for their next step.
