Job Description: Job Overview The QA Engineer will work closely and collaboratively with the Development team through the entire SDLC to ensure delivery of high quality software products. Your responsibilities will include creating, executing and maintaining both manual and automated tests; developing test plans; evaluating test results; using tracking database to ensure traceability and resolution of issues found during testing.
Job Requirements: Responsibilities include: • Writing of test plans • Execution of test plans/labs • Defect submission/verification • Reviewing of technical design documents (design specifications and functional specifications) • Perform complex functional, workflow, regression and performance tests, both automated and manual • Recommendations and consulting on methodologies and approaches to continuously improve overall product quality through such evaluations as testing activities and defect analysis • Take ownership of qualification responsibilities for a particular product area with minimal oversight • Ability to work in a fast paced dynamic environment Requirements: • 7+ years software testing experience (recent Windows platform required) • Strong understanding of software & how systems works • Proven success developing, executing and maintaining automated tests and evaluating test results • Strong experience documenting test scenarios and test executions • Understanding of networking and network/internet applications (protocols, TCP/IP, SSL, security, certificates.) • Experience in an Agile, SCRUM or Extreme Programming environment • BS/CS • Excellent written and verbal communication skills • Experience with defining and maintaining quality processes and standards • Prefer mix of both small company/start-up and larger company experience • C# Experience (C Sharp)
