Job Description:
Reporting the Safety, Health and Environmental Leader the Environmental Engineer will be responsible for development, administrative, and continuing evaluation of Plant Environmental program; assure compliance with local, state, federal, company, and insurance ordinances, regulations and codes.
• Direct, develop, and implement proactive environmental strategies for the Facility
• Assure compliance with all State, Federal, and Local compliance regulations, including handling of all related regulatory and compliance reports
• Manage the formulation, communication, and implementation of environmental policies in accordance with existing and new EPA standards
• Provide technical guidance to Safety Leader/Operations Management in the areas of EPA and DOT
• Facilitate/coordinate required Environmental/DOT Regulations training
Job Requirements:
• Bachelors Degree in Chemical, Engineering, Environmental/Industrial Safety, safety sciences
• 0-3 years experience in field of environmental administration
• Comprehensive understanding and application of EPA, and State environmental regulations
• Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with people at all levels
• Strong verbal, written, and analytical skills
• Ability to excel in self-directed environment
• Strong computer literacy and application capability
