Job Description:
Our client has more than 24 years of market leadership providing best-in-class voice solutions to enterprise and network service providers in 75 countries around the world. They are a market leader in the delivery of personalized, multi-channel automated information solutions. They have an immediate permanent opportunity for a Java Software Engineer.
The responsibilities for this position are as follows:
* Works within an agile/iterative team environment of Java software engineers and will be responsible for assisting in architecture, design, and development of enterprise software products utilizing server side development methodologies, design patterns, best practices and technologies in the web and voice environment.
* Works within team environment to produce feature requirement, design and test documents, implements and tracks development timelines, negotiates feature sets with the development leads and director.
* Follows department ISO compliant SDLC procedures
* Works with manger and team lead to coordinate activities, creates project schedules and conducts risk assessments to ensure timely delivery of robust and high quality product delivery
* Identifies and resolves project and software issues before testing.
* Assists in the design and development of test and simulation procedures in conformance with functional specifications and design requirements.

Skills required:
This position requires a bachelor's degree in CS, EE, CE, or equivalent with at least 2 years of experience with software development in Java. Knowledge of Java, IVR, and server side technologies are required. The candidate must have experience working in a dynamic development environment utilizing agile/iterative processes. Should be familiar with JSE, JEE, Web/JEE containers, Web Services, HTTP, XML, Java Community Process (JCP), Eclipse, SaaS and SOA fundamentals. Nice to have would be Sun Java Certification, familiarity with VoiceXML, CCXML, SCXML, SCA, multimodal and SIP/ Sip Servlet containers. Ability to effectively communicate both in writing and verbally is required.
