Software Development Engineer

Our client is looking for a Senior Software Design Engineer to assist in the development of a revolutionary software application for the transportation industry. The selected Software Engineer will be part of a team of highly skilled Developers.

Job Requirements:

* Multiple years commercial experience as a Software Development Engineer, Software Design Engineer, Software Engineer, Software Developer; etc. delivering high performance and scalable software products solutions for enterprise environments

* Strong object oriented development experience in a commercial development environment

* C# / .NET and Visual Studio 2005 (ASP.net) Microsoft Windows development environment experience preferred but experience with C++ or Java Linux/Unix is acceptable given a solid Computer Science and Mathematics foundation

* Demonstrated experience developing server-side applications in a high-performance transactional environment

* Experience working with SQL in a high-performance database environment desirable

* Understanding of core concepts and best practices for implementing web-facing solutions in an n-tiered environment with database and transactional back-end

* EDI or other transaction protocol interface experience desirable

* Experience developing software in an iterative Agile environment a definite bonus

* Motivated and passionate about success

* Enjoy working in a dynamic team environment

* Strong communication skills

* Strong problem solving and analysis skills

* Strong written and verbal English communication skills

* Excellent work ethic and flexible schedule to satisfy client requirements

* Previous experience in the areas of airline scheduling or travel industry a plus

* Undergraduate degree in Computer Science or Mathematics required, advanced degrees preferred

* Strong Mathematics background preferred
