Job Description:
This position serves as the responsible engineer for the design and construction of public works projects included in the City's capital improvement program. Duties include: coordinating and managing street, water, wastewater, storm drainage, parks, facilities, and other municipal projects through the use of consultants, contractors and City staff; performing engineering plan reviews to assure compliance with City codes, ordinances, and engineering practices and standards; developing specifications and cost estimates for contract work to be performed on City construction projects; coordinating the work of contractors and consultants; inspecting construction in progress and upon completion to verify compliance with contract conditions, specifications, codes and timelines and to authorize payment.
