Job Description:
The primary duties of the Estimator are to develop, evaluate, compile and present scope and cost data for construction and project estimates. Responsible for completeness and accuracy of estimates within defined parameters. Estimates may reflect any part or total project, or changes to the project. Coordinates with design and construction staff to obtain estimate scope and schedule data upon which to base estimates. Capable of preparing comprehensive cost estimate reports including laboring, market and job condition factors. May participate in negotiations with contractors. Prepares and implements procedures for conducting estimates, and establishes structures and presentation formats for estimates. Projects include all aspects of the Transportation industry, including highways, bridges, rail and transit.Keyword(s): Transportation Estimator, #072166 Experience: BS in Construction or related field. 7+ years of experience in producing estimates in a competitive environment, and assessing cost risks based on contract terms and conditions relative to a cost estimate. Must be able to complete estimates at various levels of detail from conceptual to construction detail levels.
