Doctorate in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biochemistry or related field with strong clinical relevance with at least 5 years post-graduate experience in life-science research with a minimum one year in industrial R&D (or a Masters in Cell or Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, or related field with at least 7 years post-graduate experience in life-science research with at least two years experience in leading teams.) * Prior experience in life science technology and product development is essential. * Practical experience of drug discovery processes including target identification and target validation techniques. * Demonstrated success in leading and working with cross-functional teams. * Proven ability to build and energize high-performance teams. * Demonstrated success in independent and consistent decision making. * Be able to constructively challenge the status quo and be capable of influencing at all organizational levels. * Demonstrated competence in the application of statistics in Quality Systems. * Candidates must be willing to travel a minimum of 4 weeks per year. * The ability to occasionally travel internationally to work with global team members. * Unrestricted work authorization in the US is required for BS or MS level candidates, but will sponsor visas for PhD-level candidates. * Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY. * Must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the selection process. * Must be 18 years or older. * If currently a GE Employee, you must have been in your current position for at least 24 months and have at least a satisfactory performance rating. * You must submit your application for employment through GECareers.com to be considered.
